Each entry should consist of 3 bars (approx. 1½″×2½″ each) on a small paper plate, covered by clear plastic or clear plastic bag.
Entries to be judged on appearance and taste by a panel of judges.
Recipes for entry must be made available to the culinary superintendents and to the sponsor at the time of entry.
Contest open to any amateur baker, male or female, or senior citizen.
Limit of one entry per exhibitor per category.
Entries to be entered and in place in the Agriculture Building.
Prizes will be awarded at the completion of judging: Ribbons for 1st through 3rd place.
Submit recipe, neatly typed or printed, on a card or paper, one side only.
Name of recipe first.
List all ingredients in specific amounts.
Give method, giving bowl/pan size, oven temperature, and baking time.
Include name, address, and daytime phone number.
Bring copy of recipe along with the entry.
Cookie Jar Contest:

Bring 12 homemade cookies in a quart jar. Require the recipe and your name listed on the back side of the recipe.
Flower Arranging Contest:

Limited to 10 contestants. First 10 will be entered.
Fair will provide flowers & vases. Individuals will have ½ hour to create an arrangement using only the provided materials.
Flowers and prize money have been donated by Carver County Horticultural Society.
Judging will be done by fairgoers voting for their favorite arrangement. All judges will also receive a gift. All contestants may take their arrangement home.
Top five arrangement premiums: 1st: $25.00; 2nd: $20.00; 3rd: $15.00; 4th: $10.00; 5th: $5.00
Rooster Crowing Contest:

2016 Carver County Sheriff’s Office Coin Hunt:
Find the hidden coin to win a Carver County Parks Vehicle Permit!
Clues will be posted two times daily during the Carver County Fair on Facebook and Twitter and will lead you to a specific location. The websites are public — you do not need to sign up. The ten clue locations given will lead to the location of the hidden coin. Be sure to follow the Carver County Sheriff’s Office Facebook and Twitter postings to get the latest clues!
If the coin is found early, continue to play the daily clues for prizes until the end of the Fair!
There will be a limited number of daily clue prizes, so once you find the answer for a clue, head to the public safety building to collect a prize from the deputy at the booth!
The coin, clues etc. are NOT buried, so please do not damage fairground property. There is no climbing necessary.
Follow the notification instructions included with the coin if you believe you have found it.
Carver County Sheriff’s Office employees and their immediate families are not eligible to participate.
Each summer, Lake Superior Helicopters take their helicopters to approximately 35 fairs and festivals across Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, and South Dakota, offering affordable helicopter
rides to the public.

High-flying, fast paced dirt bike and atv racing is coming to Waconia! You'll see racers jump 70-ft triples, navigate bermed corners and pound thru the whoops. Local racers are invited to sign up – as young as 4 years old and as old as 50. Pit gates and sign-up will open at 3pm, practice will start at 6pm (for race entrants only), and the racing will start at 7pm.
A Supercross Race contains 23 different classes, 5 atv classes and 18 dirt bike classes. The program consists of a Heat Race and a Main Event, and every person that signs up will race twice. The Heat Race determines what gate pick the rider gets for the Main Event; and the Main Event will determine what trophy the rider gets. There will also be an intermission race for Pit Bikes. Get in touch with your inner lumberjack! Hop on the log and try for yourself or enjoy watching your friends & family learn! Carver County Parks instructors will demonstrate log rolling technique and provide instruction while you roll. Log Rolling combines Minnesota Northwoods traditions and modern water sports, providing great benefits for your balance, core strength and aerobic abilities!
Ages 5+. Waiver required for each participant; parents must sign for minors.

The parkour portion of tonight's Art in Motion event has been cancelled due to unsafe conditions after today's rain. Livewire DJ will still be in the Show Tent from 7–10pm!

Carver County Senior Citizen of the Year Program
Join us in the Entertainment Center as we honor the Carver County Senior Citizens who have shown their outstanding commitment to community service since reaching the age of 65.
All nominees will be recognized and winners announced at the Carver County Fair in the Entertainment Center, on the day and time listed above.
2014: Ken Jacobs
Ken Jacobs receiving the award from Curtis Wolter, Carver County Ag Society President
Ken Jacobs was awarded Carver County’s Outstanding Senior Citizen for 2014. Ken was nominated by Judy Niesen. Ken will receive a special certificate of commendation from the Governor and his name will be submitted to the Minnesota Board on Aging for the Minnesota State selection process for the Outstanding Senior Citizens.
Some of Ken’s contributions to the community include:
